HURON – The Brookings Bobcats finished in fourth place as they took part in the Huron Invitational at the Broadland Creek Golf Course on Thursday morning.
The Bobcats finished with a team score of 371 strokes which was 83 strokes over par. Mitchell finished first with a team score of 314 strokes, Aberdeen Central finished second with 315 strokes, Watertown finished third with 342 strokes, O’Gorman finished fourth with 344 strokes and Rapid City Stevens finished fifth with a team score of 356 strokes.
Delilah Fuls was the top finisher for the Bobcats finishing with a round of 82 that was 10 strokes over par. Aubrey Knutzen was next up for Brookings, finishing with a round of 91 and 19 strokes over par.
Miyah Foerster finished 23rd for the Bobcats with a round of 92 (+20) and Kamryn Streich finished 36th with a score of 106.
Olivia Braun of Aberdeen Central finished first with a score of 73 (+1) and beat out Mitchell’s Allison Meyerink, who shot a 74 (+2).
Aberdeen Central’s Emma Dohrer finished third with a round of 76 (+4), Mitchell’s Quinn Dannenbring finished fourth with a round of 78 (+6) and Watertown’s Gabi Olson and Aberdeen Central’s Kyley Wirebaugh finished tied for fifth with a score of 79 (+7).
The Bobcats will have a quick turnaround when they take part in the Yankton Invitational at 9 a.m. on Friday.
