Brookings City Council

The Brookings City  Council will hold a work session at 5 p.m, followed by a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Brookings City & County Government Center at 520 Third St. Items on the agenda include:

Work session

 Discussion on an ordinance amending the code of ordinances and pertaining to rental dwelling units

Regular meeting

 Approve agenda

 Approve minutes

 Action on appointment to city boards, committees and commissions

 Action on a preliminary plat for lots in the Timberline Addition

 Action on a resolution awarding bids on a concrete maintenance project

 Action on a resolution awarding bids on a street maintenance and overlay project

 Action on a resolution approving the expenditure of the Public Art Fund for a temporary art installation and exhibition

 Introduction and first reading of an amendment to the zoning ordinance to include Indoor Recreation Facility as a permitted special use in the Business B-1 Central District, Business B-2 District, Industrial I-1 Light District, Industrial I-2 Heavy District, and Industrial I-1R Restricted District

 Action to appoint the deputy mayor

 City of Brookings progress report

 City council member introduction of topics for future discussion

Brookings Municipal Utilities

The Brookings Municipal Utilities Board will meet via teleconference at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday. Items on the agenda include:

 Approve bills and claims

 Awarding of quotes for a residential home for relocation (currently located at 1110 Fourth St.)

 Awarding of quotes for a detached single car garage of relocation *currently located at 1110 Fourth St.)

 Awarding of quotes for a utility shed for relocation (currently located at 1110 Fourth St.)

Opening of quotes is at 10 a.m. on May 28.
