Dacotah Bank in Brookings employees wear jeans on Fridays for a fee in order to raise funds for local causes.  Dacotah Bank managers say they are proud to help out and promote the Brookings County Christmas, Kids and Cops program with a check for $500.  Wednesday, Dec. 19, beginning at 5 p.m, 32 kids from Brookings County and their shopping cop buddies will gather at the Brookings Walmart for fun, food and shopping.

Participation from members of the Brookings City and County law enforcement departments, South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department, South Dakota Highway Patrol and the University Police Department at SDSU make up teams shopping with the kids.  Each family receives a food box and meal at Subway, $250 for gift shopping, along with gift cards to Pizza Hut and the Cinema 8 in Brookings.

Questions can be directed to Sgt. Pike at the Brookings County Sherriff’s Office at 315 Seventh Ave or by phoning 696-8300 or to McClemans at 688-4360.
