BPD police log July 1-4

Sunday, July 1

1:26 a.m. Officers observed a known person to be driving with a suspended driver’s license. A traffic stop was initiated, and the male was found to be in possession of the suspended driver’s license. He was arrested and taken to jail for driving with a suspended license and possession of suspended driver’s license.

3:31 a.m. Officer Pollman was dispatched to the 700 block of 13th Street West for a burglary report. An investigation is ongoing.

7:18 a.m. Officers were informed of a lost suicidal female. A search of the area was performed, and the female was found. A meeting with ECBH confirmed no threat to herself.

Monday, July 2

1:45 a.m. Officer Jurrens stopped a vehicle for stopping in the roadway and improper display of the license plate. The driver was arrested for DUI-second offense.

9:08 a.m. Officer Franklin took a report of intentional damage in the 500 block of Third Street.

11:01 a.m. Officer Franklin took a theft report in the 300 block of Third Street South.

3:35 p.m. Eluding; careless driving; DUI-first offense

8:31 p.m. Possession of controlled drug or substance; ingestion of controlled drug or substance as felony; possession or use of drug paraphernalia

8:17 p.m. Officers responded to the 700 block of 22nd Avenue South for a report of someone possibly making threatening statements. An investigation is ongoing at this time. A report has been filed.

Tuesday, July 3

2:54 a.m. Officers responded to an assault on the 2200 block of 10th street. An investigation was conducted, and a female was arrested for simple assault.

9:02 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of 12th Street South for a report of theft of electricity. A report was taken.

11:26 a.m. A local business turned in a snowboard that was left on its property approximately five months ago. The owner is unknown.

11:53 a.m. The police department received a report of a possible rape. The incident is under investigation.

3:44 p.m. Officers responded to the 700 block of Main Avenue South for a non-injury crash. A report was taken.

5:46 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the intersection of 22nd Avenue South and 20th Street South for a two-vehicle, non-injury accident. A report was filed.

6:10 p.m. Officer Bonnema responded to a non-injury accident involving two vehicles. A state accident report was filed.

Wednesday, July 4

8:38 a.m. Officers were dispatched for a reported criminal entry of a motor vehicle.

8:44 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of 12th Avenue South in response to a report of theft from a vehicle. A report was taken.

8:29 p.m. Failure to maintain financial responsibility; expired license plates; possession or use of drug paraphernalia; ingest, inhale substance to become intoxicated
