CLARK – Clark/Willow Lake swept Sioux Valley in a season-opening Lake Central Conference basketball doubleheader Saturday, as the boys won 80-62 and the girls prevailed by a 63-47 margin.
The Cossacks are host to Baltic for a doubleheader Thursday beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Boys
Jacob Prouty scored 45 points, offsetting a rough outing from the floor with a 27-of-30 performance at the free-throw line. He went 8-of-26 on field goals, including 2-of-10 from 3-point range.
The Cyclones led 20-14 after a quarter, 40-31 at halftime and 62-43 through three.
Stone Burke posted a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Micah Burke also had a double-double with 13 markers and 13 boards. They went a combined 12-of-15 from the field.
Prouty dished out six assists.
The Cossacks’ Ryan Schuster scored 16 points, while Noah Puetz and Max Nielson added 10 apiece.

Cossack junior Miakken Vincent dropped in 32 points; however, the Cyclones started strong en route to the victory.
CWL opened up a 23-8 advantage after a quarter. It led 38-22 at halftime and 48-38 through three.
The Cyclones’ Janae Kolden scored 20 points. Olivia Sass added 17 points and Abbie Bratland 11.
For Sioux Valley, Vincent accounted for 13 of the team’s 18 field goals. She hit six 3-pointers.
Perri Liedtke added six points.
