Adam Vinatieri (Indianapolis Colts) SDSU: 1991-94

Weekly Notes: Vinatieri and the Colts had a bye week in week nine of the regular season.

Indianapolis has a 3-5 record and is sitting third out of four teams in its respective division, the AFC South.

Season Notes: Vinatieri has gone 14-for-16 on field goal attempts and 21-for-23 on extra-point attempts, scoring 63 points, through eight NFL games in 2018 ... he is eighth overall in scoring in the NFL, and seventh in scoring among kickers through eight games ... has makes of: 21, 21, 25, 26, 28, 31, 31, 35, 36, 38, 42, 44, 51, 54 yards and missed two – 55 yards (short), 38 yards (hit left upright) ... recorded the most field goals made in a NFL career (now 573) against the Houston Texans on Sept. 30 – making a 42-yard FG in the second quarter for No. 566 ... tied Morten Andersen for most made FGs in a career (565) on Sept. 23 vs. Philadelphia Eagles on a 28-yard fourth-quarter FG ... now has the most career points scored all-time in the NFL, tying Morten Anderson (2,544) on a 26-yard FG as time expired in the first quarter at Oakland (Oct. 28, 2018) and then chipping in a 25-yard FG with 26 seconds left in the half at Oakland (added an XP in the first and three more in the second half to finish the game with 2,550, winning 42-28 and earning the NFL’s AFC Special Teams Player of the Week (first of the season) ... moved up to second all-time in FGs attempted (673) on his first attempt of the game at New England Patriots (Oct. 4, 2018) and is at 679 now – needs 709 to tie Andersen’s all-time record ... surpassed George Blanda to move into fourth all-time in games played at 342 by playing the Patriots on Oct. 4, 2018 (now at 344) next on the list is Jeff Feagles at 352 and the NFL record is Morten Andersen with 382 ... Preseason: has gone 4-for-4 on field goal attempts with a season-best 57-yard field goal against the Ravens (Aug. 20) and 2-for-2 extra-point attempts through two preseason games ... made field goals from 33, 45, 51, and 57 yards.

Dallas Goedert (Philadelphia Eagles) SDSU: 2014-17

Weekly Notes: Goedert and the Eagles had their bye week last weekend. Instead, the Jackrabbit alum returned to Dana J. Dykhouse and watched SDSU roll past Missouri State.

The Eagles have a 4-4 record and are sitting second in their respective division, the NFC East.

Bryan Witzmann (Chicago Bears) SDSU: 2010-13

Weekly Notes: Witzmann saw his first action of the season last week – playing two snaps at the end of the game after replacing injured guard Kyle Long. This week, he filled in another reserve roll against the Buffalo Bills – playing 23 offensive snaps (45 percent) in the 41-9 win.

He helped the team accumulate 190 yards of total offense – 126 through the air and 64 on the ground – while averaging 4.1 yards per play. They put together two scoring drives in the first quarter, while the defense scored two of their own to go up 28-0 in the first half. Then put two more long scoring drives together in the second half en route to their fifth win on the season.

Bears have since placed their season-starting guard on the injured reserved list and has Witzmann listed as the backup left and right guard.

Season Notes: Saw his first action of the season vs. the Jets (Oct. 28), playing two offensive snaps at guard and five snaps on special teams ... tallied his first major action vs. the Buffalo Bills (Nov. 4), playing 45% of the offensive snaps in the 41-9 win ... has played 25 offensive snaps (five special teams) through two games played this season ... signed to the Chicago Bears’ 53-man roster on Oct. 8 ... waived by the Minnesota Vikings after not playing a snap with the team on Oct. 5 ... signed with the Minnesota Vikings on Monday, Sept. 10 after working out with the team on Friday ... waived by the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday, Sept. 3 ... preseason: with the Kansas City Chiefs ... the Chiefs’ offense has tallied 799 offensive yards with Witzmann, including 11 scoring drives that have resulted in 60 of the 98 points scored through the four preseason games ... has competed in 152 plays as the second-string offensive guard and tackle.

Zach Zenner (Detriot Lions) SDSU: 2011-14

Weekly Notes: Zenner returns to Detroit officially on Nov. 6 after being waived nearly two months ago by the Lions on Sept. 12. He is not listed on the depth chart as of Wednesday.

Zenner returns to Detroit after spending the offseason and preseason with the club before spending Week 1 on the Reserve/Injured list.

He joins the team that is 3-5 on the season through nine weeks and in last place of their respective division, the NFC North.

Season Notes: Zenner signed back with the Detroit Lions on Nov. 6 after the team waived RB Ameer Abdullah ... was waived by the Detriot Lions on Sept. 12 after he was placed on the reserve/injured list on Sept. 1 ... Preseason: has tallied nine rushing attempts for 16 yards with a long of seven yards and one catch for 11 yards (against the New York Giants, Aug. 17) through the preseason games ... has tallied 36 offensive plays and 31 special teams plays.
