ST. LOUIS – South Dakota State’s Edward Miller was honored Monday as the Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week following a record-setting performance by the Jackrabbits.
A sophomore guard from Brookings, Miller was credited with seven finish blocks and graded at 90 percent for a Jackrabbit squad that set a single-game record for scoring in a 90-6 Beef Bowl victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He did not allow a hit on the quarterback as the Jackrabbits went on to also establish new single-game marks for total offense (926 yards), passing yards (557) and passing touchdowns (eight).
SDSU, 2-0 overall and ranked third in the Football Championship Subdivision, returns to action Sept. 29 by opening league play at North Dakota State.
