KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The South Dakota State women’s golf team shot 607 (302-305) and took third in the Kansas City Intercollegiate, which wrapped up Tuesday at the 6,069-yard, par-72 Creekmoor.
North Dakota State posted a winning score of 20-over-par 596 (302-294) and IUPUI was second at 604 (299-305).
The Bison’s Emma Groon (72-71) beat the Jaguars’ Aneta Abrahamova (72-71) on the first playoff hole to claim medalist honors after the players finished with matching 1-under 143 totals in regulation. NDSU’s Natalie Roth was third at 145 (72-73).
The Jackrabbits ended up with four players in the top 13.
Teresa Toscano tied for fourth at 149 (75-74).
Cassidy Laidlaw (75-77) and Magda Kruger (77-75) tied for seventh with 152 totals.
Sydney Borman was 13th with a 36-hole tally of 154 (75-79). Natcha Srimaneerungroj (85-79—164) tied for 40th.
Ten teams and 61 individuals participated in the tournament.
The Summit League Women’s Golf Championship is Monday, April 22-Tuesday, April 23 at Arbor Links in Nebraska City, Neb.
