2:26 a.m. Involuntary committal paperwork/warrant for protective custody served. Male was taken to Brookings County Jail for protective custody.
8:02 a.m. An officer responded to the intersection of Main Avenue South and Eighth Street South for a two-vehicle, non-injury accident. A city accident report was completed.
9:53 a.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Elm Avenue and Eighth Street South.
3:18 p.m. An officer responded to the 600 block of 12th Avenue for a two-vehicle, non-injury accident.
5:05 p.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of Seventh Avenue South for a report of a family dispute.

1:04 p.m. Officers were made aware of a threat in the 500 block of Elm Avenue. A suspect was identified and charges are pending.
1:22 p.m. Brookings police responded to an unattended death.
4:59 p.m. An officer responded to a two-vehicle injury accident in the 800 block of 22nd Avenue South. A report was generated.
6:47 p.m. Brookings Police took a report of shoplifting.
8:01 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle non-injury accident.
Friday, Jan. 12
5:23 p.m. Officers took a third-party report of a possible sexual assault rape/ an investigation is being performed.
Saturday, Jan. 13
6:44 p.m. Law enforcement investigated a hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian. One male was arrested for hit run accident, aggravated assault on law enforcement, driving revoked, resisting arrest, and second-offense DUI.
Sunday, Jan. 14
5:13 a.m. A driver was arrested for DUI.
Monday, Jan. 15
10:34 a.m. An officer took a report regarding a theft that occurred in the 1600 block of Sixth Street.
5:33 p.m. Brookings police conducted a traffic stop. The driver was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
8:39 p.m. Brookings police investigated an allleged trespass.
