Monday. Feb. 5
12:01 p.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Medary Avenue and Fifth Street. No injuries were reported.
12:48 p.m. Officers were made aware of an assault in the 500 block of Elm Avenue. An investigation was made and charges are pending.
6:43 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a theft of a phone.
7 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a car versus deer accident. A state accident report was completed
8:32 p.m. Officers took a report of a suspicious activity.
Tuesday, Feb. 6
2:27 a.m. Officers were dispatched to a residence for a medical call.
3:15 p.m. This case is to document an agency assist for Watertown Police Department
4:59 p.m. Brookings police officers took a juvenile report.
7:25 p.m. Officers took a report of a non-injury accident.
10:02 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop. The traffic stop resulted in a DUI arrest.
Wednesday, Feb. 7
7:26 p.m. the Brookings Police responded to a two-vehicle non-injury accident in the 900 block of 17th Avenue South.
9:53 p.m. Officers received a report of fraudulent activity. A report was generated.
Thursday, Feb. 8
8:15 a.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of an assault.
9:32 a.m. Police took a referral from the Department of Social Services regarding possible sexual contact with a child.
5:54 p.m. Brookings Police responded to a two vehicle accident.
6:06 p.m. Officers received a report regarding possible domestic abuse that occurred in Brookings in the years 2021 / 2022. A report was filed.
