Brookings native Michaela Jewett named to All-NSIC team

Jewett earned All-NSIC honors for the second consecutive year.

BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Augustana's Michaela Jewett and Lauren Sees were each named members of the All-NSIC Second Team, announced by the conference office on Thursday morning. 

Jewett earned her second consecutive All–NSIC honor. The senior from Brookings led the team with 14.9 points per game and was second with 7.0 rebounds per game. She recorded four double-doubles on the year, including a 21-point, 11-rebound game against SMSU in the first round of the NSIC Tournament. She scored double-digits in 20 of 27 games on the year, and grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds and knocked down six 3-pointers against Minnesota Crookston in February. 

Sees is now a four-time All-NSIC honoree. The Avon native finished second on the Vikings with 14.7 points per game and tied for the team lead with 2.4 assists per game. She scored double-digits in 22 of 27 games, including 12 in a row to end the season. Sees scored at least 20 points in seven different games and closed her Viking career with 1,665 points, seventh most in program history.
