The Medary Chapter of the South Dakota Society Daughters of the American Revolution  recently awarded the Good Citizen's Award and Scholarship to Olivia Lacher-Starace from Brookings High School. Olivia wrote a moving essay on what being a Good Citizen means to her.

Olivia accepted her DAR Good Citizen Scholarship and award on Feb. 17 during the monthly meeting of the Medary Chapter. Olivia was accompanied by her parents, Mike Starace and Jennifer Lacher-Starace, and brother Jonathan.
