On April 15, over 50 Scouts from three different Scout organizations in Brookings spent their Monday evening giving back to their community.
In under an hour's time, Cub Scouts from Pack 24 and Scouts from Troops 13 and 251 dispersed across Dakota Nature Park and picked up trash. Keeping with the Scout Law, a Scout is clean, and the Scout Outdoor Code, being conservation minded.
They did their good turn for the day. If you have a boy or girl from kindergarten to high school interested in joining Scouts visit beascout.org and find a unit near you.
