Advent Capelle will present a free gospel concert at First Presbyterian Church, 405 Seventh Ave., in Brookings.

The concert will take place May 5 at 3 p.m.

Advent Capelle, based in Flandreau, is comprised of Christian immigrants from the Philippines, and has performed around the state.

A free-will offering will be received at the concert and all proceeds will go to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance in support of the Philippines. In 2023, the area experienced a super typhoon and other serious weather events, two earthquakes, a volcano alert, flooding and landslides — all of which have displaced over 2.3 million people.
