Join in National Day of Prayer

Posted

Spring is here again. We are thankful in our farm communities for much-needed rain.

Our National Day of Prayer is coming right up.

People across the nation will gather to pray for our country (USA) state and communities for need for the upcoming year.

This is the 73rd Annual National Day of Prayer, being held Thursday, May 2, across the country,

This year’s theme is “Lift Up the Word — Light Up the Word”: 2 Samuel 22-29-31.

“God’s word is a light to lead us and his promises are true,” former Gov. Mike Rounds said.

It is fitting and proper to give thanks to God by observing a day of prayer in South Dakota when all may acknowledge our blessings and express gratitude for them, while recognizing the need for strengthening religious and moral values in our state and nation. We invite you tie join in prayer for our nation, state and community.

James 5:16: “The prayers of a righteous ,an are effective and powerful.”

We will meet at the Brookings County Courthouse at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 2.
