BROOKINGS – The 31st annual Kay Cheever Run (or walk) For Shade is Friday April 30, at 6:30 a.m.
The 5K event around and through the Dakota Nature Park celebrates Arbor Day.
Registration begins at 5:30 a.m. at the Brookings County Outdoor Adventure Center. Forms can be found at www.prairiestriders.net.
Each participant receives refreshments – including fruit, juice and milk – and a free tree.
The event is sponsored by the City of Brookings and the Prairie Striders Running Club.
