The Little Leprechaun 4-H club met Sept. 10 at the Brookings County Outdoor Adventure Center with 15 members and one visitor present.

Roll call topic was “what grade and school are you attending this school year?”

Unfinished business was a review of the South Dakota State Fair, positive and negatives.

New business was ideas for 4-H week which is the first week of October. It was decided the club would honor a baby born at Brookings Hospital again this year with a tote of presents and make the baby an honorary member of the club.

4-H record books are due to Louise by Sept. 25 so the books can be judged before being turned into the 4-H office. The talk this month was “If you were stranded on the moon and could have one personal thing with you, what would that thing be?”

Kate Gayne gave an illustrated talk on “weeds.” Election of officers for the next 4H year was held.

President this next year is Liam McCausland, Secretary is Averie Robinson, Treasurer is Kate Gayne, Flag Leader is Murray McCausland and Flag Leader is Reba Gayne and Conrad Hybbert.

The next meeting will be Oct 1. After the meeting, the club members practiced making knots as the monthly activity.
