This is the most personal and difficult article I have written. Two weeks ago my wife of nearly 40 years, Kathleen, called me in Pierre to let me know she was diagnosed with cancer.
This past week she had surgery. We are still in the initial stages of getting information, and there is a lot we don’t yet know.
However, for most of the remainder of session, I will be at home taking care of her and seeing people in my chiropractic office (because she can’t). I will make periodic trips to Pierre as her health allows, and I will contribute to future news columns when I am in Pierre. If I don’t write one week, it’s because I didn’t attend session that week.
