Aberdeen Central beats Brookings 3-0 in girls’ soccer match


ABERDEEN – Aberdeen Central beat Brookings 3-0 in an Eastern South Dakota Conference girls’ soccer match Tuesday night.

The Golden Eagles outshot the Bobcats 29-4, including 20-2 on goal.

Megan Fastenau scored in the 31st minute and Hailey Holland added a goal in the 39th minute to make it 2-0 at halftime.

Morgan Fiedler closed out the scoring in the 62nd minute.

McKenzie Cordie earned the shutout win in goal.

Bobcat goalkeeper Grace Mork made 16 saves.

Audrey Harms took a pair of shots, including one on goal.

Brookings (2-5-2, 2-3-1) closes out the regular season with three home matches, beginning with Sioux Falls O’Gorman on Saturday at noon.

Aberdeen Central  (3-3-4, 3-2-1) plays at Harrisburg on Saturday, Sept. 22.
