ABERDEEN – The Wings completed the weekend sweep of the Blizzard with a 6-0 Central Division win at the Odde Center on Saturday.
Aberdeen scored two goals in each period, including a pair of power-play tallies, as the home team held a 43-29 edge in shots.
Shawn Kennedy and Connor Beatty lit the lamp in the first before Riley Murphy made it 3-0 midway through the second. Joe Strada cashed in on a power-play opportunity for the 4-0 lead through two.
Nic Sicoly scored on a power-play chance in the third before Brad Belisle provided the final margin with 6:17 to play.
Connor Close finished with 29 saves for the shutout win in goal for the Wings while George McBey stopped 37 of Aberdeen’s shots.
The Blizzard, 3-26-1-1, head back to Aberdeen tonight. The puck drops at 7:15 p.m.
