BROOKINGS — A Brookings city employee sustained minor injuries on Jan. 18 following a vehicle/pedestrian accident on South Main Avenue during snow-removal operations.
The vehicle, its driver and the person struck are part of the city’s street division, according to information in a news release from city Public Information Officer Sherry Fuller Bordewyk. She wrote that the accident occurred at 4:47 a.m.
The injured employee was taken to Brookings Health System, treated and released. The driver of the vehicle in the accident wasn’t injured.
Bordewyk added that the city is reviewing the accident, which the Brookings Police Department responded to when it occurred.
