The Brookings County Commission will meet at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Brookings City & County Government Center at 520 Third St.

Brookings City Council

The Brookings City Council  will hold a study session at 5 p.m. Tuesday followed by a regular meeting in the Brookings City & County Government Center at 520 Third St. Items on the agenda include:

Study session

• Discussion on COVID ordinance and renewal of mask mandate

• Discussion of establishment of Public Works 

Regular meeting

• Introduction and first reading on Ordinance 20-028, an emergency ordinance Amending Emergency Ordinance 20-010, as previously amended, to extend and to adopt provisions to address a public health crisis and to revise certain measures which are necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare of the city and are necessary to slow the community spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Second reading: Oct. 27

• Discussion and possible action on Ordinance 20-029, an emergency ordinance amending emergency ordinance 20-005

• City Council member introduction of topics for future discussion
