Allen R. Barthel, 73, of Ward, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019 at Avera Flandreau Hospital.
Allen is survived by his wife Marlys; son Paul (Deb) Barthel, Ward; daughter Alison (Michael) Barthel Jacobson, Omaha; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, brother Clair, and two sisters-in-law, Jolene and Janelle. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Kaleb (2002) and sister-in-law Carol Barthel.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ward, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau.
