BROOKINGS – The community is invited to the dedication of the Alumni Green Sept. 15.
Tours of the Alumni Center begin at 4 p.m., while The Pride of the Dakotas Marching Band will begin the formal dedication program at 6 p.m. The event will include music, food and beverages following the dedication, as well as tours of the President's Home and Alumni Center until 8:30 p.m., when the SDSU Concert Choir will perform.
“The performance by the SDSU Concert Choir and video shown on the Coughlin Campanile will be a once in a lifetime-type event,” said Steve Erpenbach, president and CEO of the SDSU Foundation. “We welcome all to take a tour in the new alumni home on campus.”
The schedule is:
• 4-5:45 p.m. – Public tours of the Alumni Center
• 6 p.m. – Dedication of the Alumni Green, including a performance by The Pride of the Dakotas Marching Band; Complimentary food and beverage following the dedication, featuring J.Lohr Wine and Wooden Legs Brewery
• 6:45 p.m. – Public tours of the President’s Home and Alumni Center
• 8 p.m. – Appearances by the Hobo Day Committee, Bummobile and Bum Band
• 8:30 p.m. – SDSU Concert Choir performance with a video projection on the Coughlin Campanile
