God led Amy Jolene Chapman through heavens gates, becoming a Guardian Angel on Sunday, April 24, 2022.
On May 10, 1976, Amy was born in Brookings, SD, to Dan Chapman and Margret Perry. Amy grew up on a farm and enjoyed taking care of her lovely horses. At age 20, Amy attended Lake Area Tech and graduated with her cosmetology license. In 1998, she married Brandon Faehnrich. To this union, her daughter Ashtyn Faehnrich was born. Amy and Brandon later divorced. Amy got her first salon job at Planet Hair in Aberdeen, where she lived for several years. Amy then took on the responsibility of being a mother to Hunter Rolfe her stepson. Amy was a loving mother. Amy helped co-manage Lake Side Estates in Aberdeen SD for several years.
Amy moved to the Black Hills and pursued her career within the salon industry working at Mystique Edge for the past 13 years. Amy made sure every guest enjoyed their experience. Amy took great care of her customers and enjoyed making others feel beautiful and cared for. Amy was the light you saw every morning when you walked through the front doors. Amy had a unique sense of style. Amy always had creative vibrant hair and the most extraordinary nails. Amy loved going on motorcycle rides and spending time with loved ones. Amy loved her pets dearly and appreciated nature and all its beautiful gifts. She had quite the collection of rocks and crystals.
Amy lived a long yet short life, and made memories to last a lifetime. She made an impact on other’s lives. She was a daughter, a mother, a friend, a sister and now a Guardian Angel. Amy’s loving, caring, beautiful soul will always be remembered and remain in our hearts forever.
Amy is survived by her father, Dan Chapman; her mother, Margret Perry; stepfather, Ron Perry; stepmother, Deb Chapman; brothers, Brian Chapman and Paul Chapman; stepbrother Cory (Kalee) Jackson, with their children, Kabren and Kellyn; stepbrother Cody (Aliasa Hart) Jackson; stepsisters, Heidi Thomssen, Staci Mergenthal, and Kalli Resetter; and Amy’s children, Ashtyn Faehnrich and stepson Hunter Rolfe.
A celebration of Amy’s life was held on April 30, at Rock Point Church.
