INDIANAPOLIS - Senior Chris Angerhofer broke a school record on day 2 of The Summit League Swimming and Diving Championships Friday afternoon at the IU Natatorium.
Angerhofer claimed ninth in the 500 freestyle in a school-record breaking time of 4:32.58. Freshman Christian Offenhauser and senior Matthew Carpenter came in 11th and 12th in the event with times of 4:37.40 and 4:37.82, respectively.
Senior Tony Mikrut placed 13th in the 100 butterfly with a time of 50.69. Mikrut, Maclaine Johnson and Geoffrey Longhurst finished 12th, 13th and 14th consecutively in the 50 freestyle in times of 21.29, 21.39 and 21.44, respectively.
The 200 freestyle relay team of Maclaine Johnson, Ben Johnson, Longhurst and Mikrut captured sixth in a time of 1:24.46.
Freshman Alex Crow placed fifth in the 1-meter dive with a score of 244.75. Noah Batenhorst came in sixth (239.55) and Parker Brown in eighth (222.70).

INDIANAPOLIS – The South Dakota State women's swimming and diving team set personal bests at The Summit League Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday at the IU Natatorium.
Senior Alexandra Yaeger came in 10th in the 100 butterfly in a time of 57.59, a new personal best.
Ashley Theobald captured eighth in the 200 IM (2:08.48), while Kristin Erf claimed fifth in the 50 freestyle with a career-best time of 23.45.
SDSU's 200 freestyle relay team of Richelle Bruyckere, Ashley Theobald, Cassie Hendricks and Erf placed fourth in a time of 1:35.27.
Elizabeth Buchholz swam into ninth in the 500 freestyle with a career-best time of 4:58.93.
Competition resumed today with preliminaries at 9 a.m. and finals at 5 p.m.
