The city has 10 designated parking stalls that are available via a permit to downtown residential tenants.
Spots are located within the city’s parking lot at Third Avenue between Fourth Street and Fifth Street. Each parking stall is signed and numbered and will be assigned with a specific parking permit.
Permits will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. The city will notify the parking permit recipients of their assignment.
Applications can be obtained online at www.cityofbrookings.org/documentcenter/view/5176 or in person at the Engineering Department, Suite 140, Brookings City & County Government Center, 520 Third St.
The fee for a six-month permit is $100, and a 12-month permit is $180. The price will not be prorated for partial months.
The Permit Parking Program is available to downtown tenants residing in the B-1 zoning district.
A parking permit hangar tag will be issued to the selected recipients, and full payment will be due before receiving the permit. A maximum of one parking permit per person may be issued.
