Ardis Edman, 78, Sioux Falls, formerly Worthing, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at Ava’s House hospice, Sioux Falls.
Ardis Butenschoen was born in 1942 near Lennox. She graduated from Lennox High in 1960.
In 1960 she married James “Jim” Edman. The couple lived in Worthing. She had worked at Triangle School Supply, Johnstone Supply and Harvest States. Her husband, Jim died in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a son, Jay in 1966.
Survivors: two sons: Joel (Vicki) Edman, Bruce, SD and Michael (Sue Murra) Edman, Brookings, SD; six grandchildren: Brody Edman, Ashley Cass, Brittany Haugen, Brayden Edman, Jade Edman and Landon Edman; seven great-grandchildren; siblings: twin, Arthur Ray (Barbara) Butenschoen, Hartford and Susan Edwardson, Sioux Falls; Ardis’s special friend, Ron Sehr, Inwood, IA,
Public services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Saturday March 6, at West Prairie Lutheran Church, rural Lennox, with family present visitation, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service. Dindot-Klusmann Funeral Home, Lennox is assisting the family.
