Elkton-Lake Benton and Colman-Egan picked up wins in area volleyball on Thursday night.
• Colman-Egan 3, Hamlin 0
Colman-Egan knocked Hamlin from the ranks of the unbeaten, defeating the Chargers in three sets on Thursday night in Colman.
The Hawks won by set scores of 25-17, 25-22, and 25-23.
Mackenzie Hemmer and Hailey Larson each had 13 kills for the Hawks, and Daniela Lee added seven.
Hemmer also had three blocks and provided a team-leading 23 digs for Colman-Egan.
Larson added 19 digs and Berkley Groos added 11.
For Hamlin, Ally Abraham led all players with 17 kills, while Gracelyn Leiseth chipped in with 11.
Kami Wadsworth and Abraham each had three blocks for the Chargers.
Ava Prouty provided 15 digs and Alyssa West 13 for Hamlin, whose record falls to 7-1.
Colman-Egan (4-1) takes on Lake Preston on Thursday, Sept. 16 in Colman.

Kailyn Drietz had a game-high 10 kills as Elkton-Lake Benton defeated Oldham-Ramona/Rutland, 3-1, on Thursday night in Lake Benton.
Rachael Krog and Tevan Erickson each added seven kills for the Elks.
Erickson also provided 24 set assists and 25 digs.
Kayla Goertz led E-LB with three service aces.
The Elks had eight total blocks, led by Andrea Renkly with one solo and three assists.
For Oldham-Ramona/Rutland, Bailey Hyland led the team with six kills, while Julia Trygstad and Alivia Spilde each added five.
Paige Hanson led the Raiders with 14 set assists and also provided nine digs.
Alivia Bickett had 24 digs to lead ORR, while Sine Matson added 20.
Oldham-Ramona/Rutland (2-4) takes on Freeman Academy this Saturday with first serve of the match at 1 p.m.
Elkton-Lake Benton (2-1) takes part in the Arlington tournament this Saturday with matches against Warner, Faulkton, Deubrook Area, Burke, and the host Cardinals. Matches get underway at 9 a.m.

The Castlewood Warriors defeated the Lake Preston Divers in straight sets in a Dakota Valley Conference match on Thursday night in Lake Preston.
Set scores were 25-10, 25-22, and 25-13.
Lindsey Archer and Maddie Horn each provided three services aces for Castlewood, who moved to 6-1 overall.
Mackenzie Everson had 15 kills offensively.
Gracie Haug and Kailyn Larson had 12 and 10 set assists.
Horn, Larson, and Haug provided 18, 13, and 11 digs, respectively, for Castlewood.
For the Divers, Annika Nelson and Jocelyn Steffensen each had one service ace each.
Morgan Curd paced the Divers with nine kills, while Nelson added four.
Steffensen provided six set assists.
Ava Malone provided 11 digs for Lake Preston. Nelson and Steffensen added nine each.
Lake Preston (2-2, 0-2 DVC) takes part in the Clark/Willow Lake tournament this Saturday. The Divers are scheduled to play Redfield and Webster, with two other matches determined by results of the tournament.
