Arlington girls win Colman Invite

COLMAN – The Arlington girls’ cross country team took home the title at the 2022 Colman invite at the Sunset Ridge Golf Course in Colman on Wednesday afternoon with three runners placing in the top 10.

Kaelyn Ulschmid finished second for Arlington with a time of 19:28.36 while Halley Miller finished seventh with a time of 20:55.78 before Madalyn Madsen finished 8th with a time of 20:56.91.

Other runners for Arlington included Rachel Steffensen, who finished 13th with a time of 21:50.03, Kashley Goebel, who finished 21st with a time of 22:43.28, Nicole Steffensen, who finished 26th with a time of 23:02.37, Emarie Vincent, who finished 28th with a time of 23:05.56, Lauryn Mutziger, who finished 31st with a time of 23:16.57, Jada Henriksen, who finished 32nd with a time of 23:35.01, Elizabeth Bacon, who finished 36th with a time of 24:25.82 and Tetiana Kyryliuk, who finished 40th with a time of 25:18.59.

Colman-Egan finished second in the meet and was led by Reese Luze. The senior finished third with a time of 20:07.20, while Presley Luze finished sixth with a time of 20:40.68. Anya Hemmer finished 23rd with a time of 22:50.03, Izzie Lee finished 33rd with a time of 23:37.20 and Finley Luze finished 35th with a time of 24:18.21.

Other individual runners at the meet included Elkton-Lake Benton’s Malayna Hemmen, who finished fifth with a time of 20:35.66, Iroquois/Lake Preston’s Mallory Carlson, who finished 12th with a time of 21:45.80 and Deubrook Area’s Kylee Johnson, who finished fourth with a time of 20:34.74 and Chloe Haines, who finished 37th with a time of 24:30.69.

Boys 

Baltic won the boys portion. Arlington cane in fourth and ELB came in sixth.

ELB’s Nate Timm was the top area finisher and he came in fifth with a time of 17:50.18. Caedon Bressler and Raph Johnson of ELB finished right next to each other, coming in 26th (21:02.87) and 27th (21:13.09).

Evan Fonesca was the top finisher for the Cardinals and he came in seventh with a time of 18:09.00. His teammate, Jake, Burns finished right behind him in eighth (18:33.05). Chase Henriksen came in 24th (20:42.68) and Colby Burns finished in 28th (21:36.79). Miles Antonen rounded things out for Arlington, coming in 31st (22:03.33).

Iroquois/Lake Preston had two runners compete and they finished right next to each other. Tobias Arbeiter came in 13th (19:26.82) and AJ Wienk came in 14th (19:30.22).

Jaxon Quail was the only runner for Deubrook and he came in ninth (18:46.87).
