Arlington tops DRSM, ORR also wins

DELL RAPIDS – Arlington defeated St. Mary 69-59 in a Dakota Valley Conference boys’ basketball game Thursday night to avenge an earlier loss.

DRSM dropped Arlington 66-57 in the DVC Tournament title game Jan. 25 in Colman.

Both teams lost to De Smet in league play.

Connor Libis had a huge game for DRSM. He had 32 points and Max Herber had 10. Trey Ramstad led Arlington with 23 points. Ryker Erstad had 20 points and Casey Stegeman had 11 points.

DRSM (12-3, 5-2) takes on Hanson in the DWU Culver’s Classic on Saturday at the Corn Palace in Mitchell.

Arlington (14-2, 7-1) plays host to Colman-Egan on Monday.

 Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 53, Estelline/Hendricks 37

ESTELLINE – Brandon Trygstad posted a big double-double with 20 points and 20 rebounds to lead the Raiders.

ORR was up 9-5 after a quarter, 25-12 at halftime and 39-24 through three.

Isaac Hegdahl added 14 points.

The Redhawks’ Riley Benning scored 12 points, Dawson Bury nine and Spencer Lutz seven.

ORR (6-11, 2-4) faces Elkton-Lake Benton on Saturday in Lake Benton, Minnesota.

EH (6-11, 1-7) takes on Iroquois/Doland on Tuesday in Iroquois.
