VOLGA – Someone stole 10 hay bales from a field near Lake Campbell, and authorities are looking for the thief, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
“A rural Volga resident reported the theft of 10 round alfalfa hay bales” at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.
The bales were stolen from a field a quarter mile south of 218th Street on 464th Avenue. The theft occurred sometime between Nov. 1-3.
“The estimated value of the 10 bales is $800,” Sebring said.
