Beulah "Billie" Severson, 93, died Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the De Smet Good Samaritan Center.
Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Arlington City Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. on today at the Johnson-Henry Funeral Home in Arlington.
Billie, as she was called by those who adored her, was born March 31, 1924, in Arlington to Edward Lester and Byrds (Thompson) Townsend. Billie spent her adventurous life doing all things which made her heart happy.
In 1980, she graduated from Dakota State College, Madison, with a bachelor’s in social science, AA in social work and a minor in psychology. Throughout the years she worked various jobs around the United States as she traveled here and there, usually landing where on of her kids resided.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherill Georges, her sons, Charles Severson, Karl Severson and Lonnie Scott Severson, with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Leonard Arlie Severson.
