BROOKINGS – Brookings High School crowned 2022 Homecoming royalty on Monday night in Jostad Gym. Seniors James Park and Maddix Archer, shown above, were voted lord and lady by their fellow students.
The court also included senior candidates Hamza Ali, Jaxton Eck, Jackson Hoffmann, Drew Ton, Kaitlyn Doom, Claire Eidem, Cyanne O’Neill and Kiera Steinhauer.
The annual “Burning of the B,” above, was then held in the south parking lot of the high school.
The marching band played popular pep band tunes and students in attendance joined cheerleaders in chants, encouraging the football team to “Rob the Bucks” in anticipation of the homecoming game vs. Yankton on Friday.
