BHS golfers finish 14th at Warrior-Lynx tourney

BRANDON – The Bobcat boys finished 14th in the Warrior-Lynx Invitational, which concluded Tuesday at Brandon Golf Course.

Brookings shot a 36-hole score of 748, including a 372 in the final round.

Sioux Falls Lincoln (303) finished with a 601 total to edge Sioux Falls Roosevelt (302), which ended up at 603.

The Rough Riders’ Jack Lundin (72) topped the Patriots’ Jack Hilgenberg (71) on the first hole of a playoff to claim medalist honors after both golfers finished at 3-over-par 144 in regulation.

Kade Brecher (86) paced the ‘Cats, finishing in a tie for 45th at 174.

Jesse Roberts (97) tied for 56th with a 181 total. Justin Kortan (92) was 68th at 195, Brayton Mack (97) tied for 69th at 198, Kane Kurtenbach (102) was 74th at 212 and Matt Weelborg (102) ended up 75th with a 217 total.

Brookings takes on Roosevelt in a dual Friday at 2 p.m. at Kuehn Park in Sioux Falls.
