BHS Roundup: Boys’ golf takes 13th, girls’ tennis goes 0-2


YANKTON – Luke Honner carded a 1-under-par 71 to earn medalist honors and lead Sioux Falls Lincoln to the team title in the Yankton Invitational on Saturday at Fox Run.

The Patriots shot 299, as Watertown (304) was second and O’Gorman (306) third.

The Bobcats ended up 13th at 348.

Rapid City Stevens’ Jonah Swartz was runner-up following an even-par 72.

Brookings’ Jack Even (82) tied for 46th, Jesse Roberts (86) tied for 60th, Egan Jensen (89) tied for 70th, Justin Kortan (91) tied for 77th, Matt Weelborg (94) tied for 82nd and Brayton Mack (95) tied for 84th.

The Brookings Invitational is today at 10 a.m. at BCC.

GIRLS’ TENNIS

HURON – The Bobcats fell 9-0 to Pierre and 8-1 to the host Tigers on Saturday.

Lynn Foster beat Beth Engelhart 10-2 in the No. 2 singles match in the latter dual.

Brookings (0-16) is host to a quadrangular Tuesday at 10 a.m.
