BROOKINGS – North Dakota State completed a regular-season sweep of South Dakota State with a 25-23, 26-28, 25-19, 25-19 victory during Summit League volleyball action Sunday afternoon at Frost Arena.

Alexis Bachmeier had 17 kills, a service ace, a block assist and 20 digs to pace the Bison (7-16, 5-7). McKenzie Burke contributed 15 kills, a block assist and 18 digs. Emily Halvorson had eight kills and two blocks. Allie Mauch and Ally Murphy both added seven kills.

Kalli Hegerle guided the offense with 54 set assists while adding 16 digs. Abbi Klos notched 17 digs and Kaylee Hanger 12 to go with a pair of ace serves.

The Jackrabbits’ Makenzie Hennen totaled 16 kills, three blocks (one solo) and 10 digs. Crystal Burk tallied 13 kills and 16 digs. Sierra Peterson and Ashlynn Smith both chipped in with nine kills, as the former also recorded a block. Sydney Andrews finished with six kills and 2 1/2 blocks (one solo).

Maddie Fay (28) and Mattison Munger (23) combined for 51 set assists. Munger also collected 10 digs and netted a pair of aces. Ellie Thein paced the defense with 22 digs.

NDSU beat SDSU 25-15, 25-20, 25-17 on Sept. 28 in Fargo.

South Dakota State (4-20, 1-10) is host to North Dakota on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
