Black scored three runs in the bottom of the first to take the early lead before Mitchell put five runs on the board in the third.

Cole Mahlum took one for the team with one out and stole second before Jamison Honkomp worked a two-out walk.

Both advanced on a wild pitch before Max Struck came through with a two-out, RBI-single to plate Mahlum and send Honkomp to third.

Mason Bebensee followed with another infield single to score Honkomp as Struck went to third, and later scored on a passed ball.

After Mitchell went up 5-3, Black got one run back in the fourth when Henry Hammrich singled with one out; stole second; and then scored on Mahlum’s two-out double.

The visitors on the scoreboard responded with a run in the top of the fifth to go back up by two runs, 6-4, heading into the final frame.

Hammrich reached base in the bottom of the sixth on a fielder’s choice and advanced to third on Jackson Krogman’s single.

Hammrich scored when Krogman stole second and then Mahlum plated Krogman with another single to tie the game at 6-6. Mahlum stole second, but was stranded after a groundball out for the final out, and the game was called due to the time limit.
