BMTA holds ensemble showcase

BROOKINGS – The Brookings Music Teachers Association recently held its Ensemble Showcase in Founders Hall of the Performing Arts Center. Thirty three students (and three parents) performed a variety of duets and duos in two separate concerts, one at 9:30 a.m. and the other at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17.  

A variety of pieces were enjoyed including "A Supenseful Situation," "Rings of Saturn," and "The Entertainer."

Students participating in the event include Vanessa An, Aninka Brozel, Stefan Brozel, Abram Bucholz, Asher Bucholz, Cadence Cedar, Corah Cedar, Pyria DeGroot, Hannah DeWulf, Josie Entwiestle, Madayln Even, Andrew Hahn, Lauren Hansen, Jack Jeppesen, Elliet Johnson, Braxton Jones, Gella Jones, Jonathan Kahler, Natalie Kahler, Lucas Kahler, Ian Marzano, Ethan Peng, Grace Romsa, Griffin Streich, Kamryn Streich, Claire Uvestad, Quinn Ulvestad, Aubrey Underwood, Grace VandeKop, Amari Ward, Lindsey Walker, Mallory Wells and Nancy Yang.  

Teachers participating included Pamela Baker, Diana Christiansen, Mary Ermel, Cynthia Jorgensen, Deb Kalsbeck, Tammy Knudtson and LeeAnn Meyer.
