Bobcat bowlers split with Canton


BROOKINGS – The Bobcat boys beat Canton 45.5-4.5 and the girls fell 35.5-14.5 during bowling action Thursday at Prairie Lanes.

Dylan Cramer paced the boys with a 665 (204-234-227) series. Lee Krueger added a 628 (233-238-157), Alex Couser a 618 (233-169-216), Mason McManus a 556 (224-162-170) and Evan Vernarsky a 481 (155-151-175). Aarick Dicke contributed games of 196 and 186, while Gabe Boyer added a 123.

On the girls’ side, Kyra Ernst rolled a 501 (147-203-151) series. Brooklyn Hieb had a 489 (165-151-173), Ellie Fitzpatrick a 420 (137-143-140) and Abby Fitzpatrick rolled games a 409 ( 137-154-118). Catelyn Vernarsky registered games of 173 and 151, Brooke Seeley rolled a 151 and a 124, Erin Hulberg recorded a 117 and Kacee Rhody tallied a 122.

The Brookings junior varsity girls’ team won 29-21.

Teagen Bremmon had a 385 (123-130-132) series, Janine Warne a 343 (132-94-117) and Joy Warne a 307 (100-122-85). Hulberg added games of 146 and 140. Vernarsky had a 171 and Seeley had a 166. Rhody added a 113 and a 132.

The C-Hawks won the JV boys’ match 42-8.

The Bobcats’ Stanley Scubelek rolled a 472 (169-135-168) series, Travis Block a 380 (158-132-90), Davin Eberlie a 361 (117-117-127), Tyler Cameron a 330 (120-98-112) and Dylan Schubelek a 307 (100-99-108). Dicke recorded a 207 game and Boyer added games of 178 and 115.
