Bobcat bowlers split with SF Lincoln

SIOUX FALLS – The Brookings girls bowling team moved to 2-0 on the season with a 28-22 win over Sioux Falls Lincoln on Friday, while the Patriots claimed the boys match, 41-9, on Saturday.

GIRLS

 Brookings 28, Lincoln 22

Brooklyn Hieb tossed a 597 series including a 255 game as the Bobcats defeated Lincoln, 28-22.

Kacee Rhody and Teagen Bremmon each had a 517 series with Bremmon logging a high-game of 204, and Rhody posting a 191 as her top score.

Brooke Seeley posted a 460 series with a high score of 181, while Janine Warne also threw a 181 as her high score as part of a series of 456.

Peyton McBride rounded out the Bobcat contingent with a series of 417 including a high game of 146.

The junior varsity girls also defeated the Patriots, 29-21, to move their record to 2-0 on the season. Catelyn Vernarsky registered a 458 series including a high game score of 173.

Lincoln Sondreal posted a team-high series of 710 including a high game of 268, but the Bobcats were defeated by the Patriots, 41-9, dropping the Brookings record to 0-2 on the season.

Stanley Scubelek logged a series of 604 including a top game of 213, while Adrian Howard scored a 557 series with 218 being his top mark.

Gabe Boyer’s 551 series including a high game of 223, while Dylan Scubelek’s 446 series and James Tefft’s 439 series completed the Brookings scoring.

The boys junior varsity lost to Lincoln, 46-4, as they also fell to 0-2 on the year.

Gage Craft posted the top series for the JV with a 355 including a high game of 129.
