Brookings swept McCook Central/Montrose in bowling Friday, winning the girls’ match 44.5-5.5 and the boys’ match 47-3.
Ellie Fitzpatrick led the girls with a 598 (224-185-189) series. Brooklyn Hieb added a 526 (188-155-183), Janine Warne a 431 (154-140-137) and Katlyn Pederson a 373 (145-121-107). Brooke Seeley contributed games of 186 and 135, Catelyn Vernarsky 161, Kyra Ernst 132, Kacee Rhody 131 and Erin Hulberg 124.
For the boys, Alex Couser’s second-game 290 led to a 679 series. He added games of 155 and 234. Gabe Boyer had a 613 (220-183-210) series, Evan Vernarsky a 593 (217-189-187), Lee Krueger a 561 (180-192-189), Mason McManus a 550 (194-166-190) and Stanley Scubelek a 483 (169-164-150).
The Bobcats swept the JV matches, as well, winning 50-0 and 23-2, respectively.
Megan Seeley led the girls with a 389 series and Aarick Dicke paced the boys with a 430.
