BROOKINGS – The Bobcats defeated Milbank 6-3 in a girls’ tennis dual Saturday morning at Hillcrest Tennis Courts.
Brookings won five of the six singles matches.
Jane Ardry cruised past Jodi DeVaal 8-1 at No. 1.
Abby Enevoldsen was an 8-6 victor over Halli Essington in the No 2 match. Kia Witt topped Rhianna Cantine 8-2 at No. 3.
Marina Du beat Hattie Muellenbach 8-4 at No. 5 and Skylor Ness dropped Alexis Ninneman 8-2 in the No. 6 match.
Du and Ness capped 2-0 performances by toppling Muellenbach and Ninneman 8-2 in the No. 3 doubles match.
Brookings’ match versus Yankton was rained out after singles play, where all six matches were won by the Gazelles.
The Bobcats (4-16) return to action at the Eastern South Dakota Conference Tournament on Thursday at 8 a.m. in Aberdeen.
