Bobcat wrestlers drop pair in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG – The Bobcats fell 52-16 to the host Tigers and 60-12 to Brandon Valley in an Eastern South Dakota Conference triangular Tuesday night.

No further details were available from the Harrisburg dual.

Brookings, which concluded the dual season with a 2-8 (1-7) record, is host to the Region 1A Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 10 a.m.

Both teams won three of the six contested matches, with the Lynx taking advantage of eight forfeits.

Brookings Gus Miller pinned Sam Lembcke in 4:20 in the 285-pound bout.

Tyson Brandt edged Cayden Langenhorst 2-0 at 138. Following a scoreless first period, he recorded a reversal in the second and then rode out the final stanza.

At 145, Koby Bartels posted a 5-2 decision over Teygan Harstad.
