BISMARCK, N.D. – The Bobcats completed a weekend sweep of the Blizzard with a 4-1 victory during NAHL Central Division action Saturday night at the VFW Sports Center.

Mitchell Walinski scored off an assist from Alex Pollock 85 seconds into the game to stake Bismarck to a 1-0 lead.

The Bobcats moved ahead 2-0 in the second as Austin Jouppi lit the lamp. Andy Stoneman and Bartek Bison were credited with assists.

Brookings got on the board midway through the period as Sam Antenucci found the back of the net on an assist from Nicklas Andrews.

Bismarck’s Ryan Taylor scored with 5:23 left in the second. Kirklan Irey and Tim Piechowski assisted.

Irey added an empty-netter with 3 seconds to play in the game. Piechowski picked up the assist.

Atticus Kelly made 29 saves to earn the win in goal. Brookings’ Jack Caruso stopped 20 shots and allowed two goals in 51:53 of action, while George McBey had two saves and gave up one goal in 5:37.

The teams combined for 84 penalty minutes and 18 infractions.

The Blizzard (3-17-1-1, 8 points) and Bobcats (13-7-1-0, 27 points) face off again Friday and Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at Larson Ice Center in Brookings.
