Bobcats beat Chargers in dual finale

BROOKINGS – The Bobcats wrapped up the dual portion of their schedule with a 6-3 win over Sioux Falls Christian on Monday at Hillcrest.

Jonah Dobbs defeated Landon Levenhagen 6-3, 6-0 in the No. 1 singles match.

Dalton Rittershaus dropped Elijah Bird 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2.

Micah Ardry beat Daniel Puumala 6-3, 6-3 in the No. 3 matchup, while Dawson Peters toppled Jadon Munson 6-0, 7-5 at No. 4.

In doubles, Dobbs and Rittershaus teamed for a 6-1, 6-3 defeat of Levenhagen and Puumala at No. 1. Ardry and Peters were 6-1, 4-6, 10-2 victors over Bird and Jackson Woodward at No. 2.

The Bobcats finished the season with a 7-9 record.

The Eastern South Dakota Conference Boys’ Tennis Tournament is Thursday at 8 a.m. at Holgate Middle School in Aberdeen. The State Boys’ Tennis Tournament is May 17-19 in Rapid City.
