Bobcats finish 13th at Brookings Invitational

BROOKINGS – The Brookings boys’ golf team came in 13th place at the Brookings Invitational on Monday after shooting 59-over par.

Sioux Falls Lincoln won the tournament shooting 17-over. Sioux Falls O’Gorman came in second (+19) and Harrisburg finished in third (+20).

Garret Everson of Sioux Falls Roosevelt and Braydon Jones of Aberdeen Central tied for first place in the individual tournament. They each shot a three-under 69. A pair of Sioux Falls Lincoln Patriots came in third and fourth. Nash Stenberg shot an even par and Luke Honner shot a one-over 73. Emmet Hansen of Brandon Valley came in fifth with a 73.

Brayton Mack led the way for Brookings. He tied for 26th after shooting a 81. Justin Kortan tied for 37th with an 84 and Kade Brecher shot a 90 and tied for 61st. Jack Even came in 66th (92) and Egan Jensen finished tied for 67th (93). Jase Bauer rounded things out for the Bobcats tying for 72nd with a 97.

The Bobcats will participate in the Mitchell Invitational at the Lake View Golf Course at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
