Bobcats finish 15th at Warrior Invite

SIOUX FALLS – O’Gorman placed four golfers in the top 10 to card a 293 for team honors at Monday’s Warrior Invite at Willow Run Golf Course.

Host Washington was second with a 306, a stroke ahead of Roosevelt’s 307, followed by Lincoln (313), Aberdeen Central (314), Rapid City Stevens (315) and Brandon Valley (319).

Brookings finished 15th with a team score of 385.

The Golden Eagles’ Jonah Dohrer earned medalist honors with a 70, two strokes ahead of four players who carded 72s – Washington’s Will Grevlos; O’Gorman’s Justin Kolb and Bryce Hammer; and Rapid City Stevens’ Lane Jensen.

Roosevelt’s Jack Lundin was sixth with a 73 while the Knights’ Sam Sutcliffe carded a 74 for seventh. Jared Jost of the Rough Riders led a slew of players at 75, including OG’s Blake Dornbush for the Knights’ final tally in the team standings.

Drew Cole led the Bobcats with a 90, which placed him 68th overall. Landon Moe carded a 95 for 81st; Trevor Berreth shot a 99 for 85th; and Blaine Bacher’s 101 was good for 87th to finish off the team total.

Brenden Way and Koby Bartels fired a 105 and 109, respectively.

Brookings competes in the Lynx Invitational at Brandon Valley today.
