Bobcats hosts quadrangular at Brookings Country Club

BROOKINGS – The Brookings boys golf team hosted a four-team quadrangular scramble at Brookings Country Club on Thursday afternoon. 

Egan Jensen and Cale Jones led the way for the Bobcats with a combined score of 75. They tied with teammates Austin Clark and Jase Bauer as well as Kade Brecher and Tyson Lunn, who also shot a 75 on the afternoon.

Masen Holen and Dylan Vande Kop shot a 81 while Issak Earley and Nathan Brecher shot an 82. Rhys Helberger and Chase Karch also shot an 84 for the Bobcats.

Mitchell’s Lincoln Bates and Marshall Widstrom shot a low score of 70 at the meet while Noah Larson and Asher Dannenbring shot a 71. Jackson Childs and Jager Juracek also shot a 75 for the Kernels.

Trevor Rick and Harrison Seeman shot a team-low of 74 for Sioux Falls Jefferson while Jase Unzen and Lincoln Sabers shot a 76. Andy Noble and Channing Schaff shot a 78 while Anders Schaefer and Josh Skelton shot an 82.

The trio of Kahzden Sheppard, Jack Jacobson and Ethan Moon shot a team-best 83 for Sioux Falls Washington while Easton Miller and Bryce Ronken shot an 86 and Everett Mescher and Bryce Thompson shot a 93.

The Bobcats will be in action again at the Boys Varsity State Tournament at Lakeview Golf Course in Mitchell on Monday morning.
