BRITTON – Brookings had 25 wrestlers place in the Region 4 AAU Tournament on March 11, as 19 qualified for the state meet.
In the Girls’ Midget Division, Bailey TeKrony won at 53 pounds while Cherish Stern finished first at 140 pounds in the Girls’ Schoolboy Division.
In the Tots Division, Jaxon finished sixth at 49 pounds.
In the Bantam Division, Noah Hansen won the 40-pound weight class as Briggs Archer placed second. Lincoln Helmbolt won at 44 pounds; Drew Brinkman placed fourth in the 70-pound class while Micah Stern finished sixth at 47 pounds.
In the Midget Division, Aidan Aure won at 56 pounds; Tyson Antonen finished first atin the 82-pound class; and Darrion Dubro won at 123 pounds. Dylan Reynolds placed second in the 96-pound class; Jaidyn Hale finished fourth at 59; and Mason Mathis was sixth at 67 pounds.
In the Novice Division, Dillen Sheeley won the 87-pound weight class while Nolan Miles placed second at 72 pounds. Tate Helmbolt and Joey Fitzpatrick finished third at 60 and 93 pounds, respectively, as Cameron Girard placed fourth at 100 pounds.
In the Schoolboy Division, Kellan Aure won at 75 pounds; Nolan Archer took the top spot at 100 pounds and Carter Wright finished first in the 140-pound weight class. Jaxon Bowes placed second at 105 pounds while Gavin Klinkhammer finished sixth.
In the Cadet Division, Connor Klinkhammer won the 106-pound weight class.
